FrenchFriendFinder.com attempts to provide a community for singles who share the
love of French language or culture. The site has a bunch of fun extra features
such as a chat board, blogs, instant messaging and a magazine that users can
contribute to, but they all fall short if there aren’t many members taking part
in the discussion. When we searched the site, we there were only a handful of
people in the chat rooms. This is a shame considering there’s a lot this site
could do with the right combination of members.
The good news with this site is that it will tell you after you run a search
when a member was last online. Paid members come up first followed by standard
members. Standard members are just like you—those who have yet to purchase a
membership. If you don’t see enough members who interest you that have logged
on in the last month, this may not be the site for you. True, you only need one
connection to last a lifetime, but the odds are better when there are a number
of people logging in each day.
French Friend Finder knocks one out of the park from a technical standpoint.
From a practical perspective, you need to look closer to see if there are
enough people you’d be interested in chatting with. Since there’s no way a free
member can organize results based on distance, this is near impossible to tell.
The $12.99 monthly fee rolls over to $11.99 for each additional month so it’s
pretty inexpensive considering what other sites are charging.
